What is the Treatment Shaft Technology??
The Treatment Shaft (TS) concept is a new Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) storage and treatment process that has many advantages over the conventional treatment processes. It is designed to provide large storage and full treatment including skimming, settling, screening and disinfection for all flows beyond its storage capacity. It is hydraulically efficient which would eliminate the need for pumping and associated capital and O&M costs. It requires small footprint to construct, which make it suitable for very urbanized areas typical in old cities.
